How does Benchmark International protect my personal information?

To protect your personal information from unauthorized access and use, we use security measures that comply with federal law. These measures include computer safeguards and secured files and buildings.

How does Benchmark International collect my personal information?

We collect your personal information, for example, when you

  • Complete questionnaires on our website or
  • Meet with our Vice Presidents to discuss instructing us or
  • Complete our Company Sales Brief or
  • Work with our analysts to prepare your company for market or
  • Allow us to gather your business’s tax records from the IRS

Federal law gives you the right to limit only

  • sharing for affiliates’ everyday business purposes—information about your creditworthiness
  • affiliates from using your information to market to you
  • sharing for nonaffiliates to market to you

Companies related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and nonfinancial companies.

  • Occasionally, Benchmark International may require the assistance of an affiliates either to market its services to you or to fulfill the stated purpose of our Terms of Engagement with you and/or your company.


Companies not related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and nonfinancial companies.

  • Benchmark International shares personal information about its clients with nonaffiliates in accordance with the provisions of the applicable Terms of Engagement. This is not for marketing reasons but rather to fulfill the stated purpose of such Terms of Engagement.
  • If you are a client of Benchmark International, this typically involves proposed counterparties to a corporate transaction (who have signed non-disclosure agreements with you or with Benchmark), as well as attorneys, accountants, tax advisors, and wealth management professionals.

Joint marketing

A formal agreement between nonaffiliated financial companies that together market financial products or services to you.

  • Benchmark International may from time to time engage in joint marketing efforts with nonaffiliates.

Other important information

Nothing in this privacy statement is intended to amend or otherwise modify the terms of any Terms of Engagement entered into by Benchmark. In the event of a conflict between this privacy statement and any Terms of Engagement, the provision which is more protective of the client’s personal information shall dictate Benchmark’s practices.
